cooking is for sure not one of my talents. not even an optimized skill. when i moved into my apartment i slashed the kitchen in half, upgrading the living room that way. and i still have enough room for a microwave and a tiny camping gas stove. so all set, right? during the week my supermarket supplies little plastic containers filled with stuff. i reheat and consume. in the weekends i experiment with groceries.
i post-produce, boil noodles/rice/other and i fry some meat. to balance eating all this fast-food-nation-ish junk during the week i switch to organic in the weekend. you know: gay free-range broccoli and happy dead cows. and you know what, and here’s the point: a friend of me argued that it is way more sad (sadistic even) to off a frolic animal than it is to consume bad bred beef. he got me there. is it more ethic to kill the unhappy and let the happy ones play in peace? is it bad to eat organic? i may even think he’s right.
