gadget graveyard.

this is about selfamazement. behaviour that makes yourself wonder what you are doing. i’m prepping for project house for sale. equels to cleaning up after myself basicly. swarming stacks of stuff are being cleared. everything that is untouched in the past two years will be boxed due to apparent needlessness. there is my vhs tapes for example. i stored them in the same box where they came from six years ago, when i moved in. unplayed and unloved. at first i did my duty duly and without a lot of thoughts. but after an hour or so i realised that this was not making any sense. why put useless stuff back in a box opposed to bin it? other species of the same kind: vcr, mindidiskdeck, answeringmachines (2), alarmclock, webcam, tape recorder, tuner, … how do i explain this attitude to things? is it fear of wasting? angst for goodbyes?
