on my way to work this morning, i listened to bbc’s go digital podcast. they ran a story on a foggy computer monitor. what i’ve understand of it, this is how it works: a machine creates a panel of foggy stuff. it’s not wet though, so i guess they used it to describe how it looks like in idle state. you can walk through it. the panel projects whatever you like. and it’s double sided too! so you can have different fogpanelprojections on both sides. i was more than amazed by this concept. and started to imagine what i would do with it. for example: i’d install it on where my front door is currently located (it’s where you see my front door). on the outside, i make it a front door projection. i would never have to look for my keys again. on the inside i’d make it the doorway to some beautiful place. it could be new york or berlin. or an alps field. or a cloud. all depending on my mood. the thing would be nice to use as a shower curtain too. project some nice featured company with approving looks for example… i am really excited about this thing. i want one. i’ll be your guinea pig. to my disappointment the radio show has not giving details on where or when it is going to be available. details anyone please?
