i love the invention of pictography. not only because it’s the oldest language, but also for it’s still going strong functionality. proof of a good invention. imagine a world without it. or more nightmarish: imagine being on an international airport without a single pictogram. and you have to catch that connecting flight within 20 minutes…
but what if a sign is not straight forward anymore? when it’s open for interpretation? i found this one at one of my favorite museums in amsterdam, the foam_photography museum. it’s the first thing you’ll see after passing the pay desk. i want my money back! (kp)
