so, the dutch appear to be infatuated with american politics. so much so in fact that some noble grad students here have taken the time and effort to develop a great website to help americans make up their mind as to who they should vote for in 11 months.
check it out! – -edit: and another one (kp) – -
now i’m sure that those of you living inside the us get way more exposure to the whole campaign trail/expensive TV commercial thing, but you’d be surprised how much airtime hillary, mitt, rudy and the gang are getting over here where people aren’t even going to get to vote… anyway, i think that the leftover ballots from stay-at-home non-voters should get auctioned off here in democracy-crazed amsterdam. that would really make some dutchman’s day and, come november, america could probably do with the money… (w.g.)

No conspiracy here; Ron Paul’s followers just spend more time on the internet is all. Just go and youtube him to get a glimpse of his sizeable audience of obsessive, PC-savvy, myspace account-holding non-partisans…
I think Mr Paul is the ideal man to become a third party candidate and there are a lot of people who suspect just that… I love the hype that ensues when Americans are given more than two choices too… Like when KFC used to let you choose “Tender Roast” if you were fed up with original and extra crispy… Its too bad the comparison between ordering at the KFC drive-thru and voting for the President of the USA stops there though, or else maybe more Americans would vote…
Anyway, I guess if Paul ran on an independent ticket then it would be the Nader-effect in reverse… A vote for Paul is a vote for Hillary??
manipulation on “who would the world elect“? according to them ron paul leads in the netherlands (and a lot of other countries). nu.nl reports a different outcome.
