suck my tag.

tagging (click for info) really sucks! sorry, that’s not really an amazed introduction, i know, but i really have to get this off my chest. (so that i can keep tagging myself too, but that’s not the point right now.)

43things, blogs, you name it and you can tag yourself, your pics, your life basicly. or someone else’s for that matter. it’s the new hype on the internet-block. and it works. it’s fun. do a tagsearch on chocomel at flickr and you get people high on chocomel. it’s a cool way to connect with other people of same interest.

so maybe i should just shut up, but i get a nasty feeling with this tagging going on. i mean, now this sounds like a grotesque fantasy, but why not use the tags that fit your identity (based on your idea or how others see you) on a rfid chip? why not implement that in your body? and hey, wouldn’t it be easy to get offers from your local supermarket that match your unique lifestyle and personality? massclusivity on demand. and while we’re at it: we’ll match schools and jobs for you too… plus it reminds me of the way the nazis were at first labeling people.

tagging, categorizing… somehow i fear that that always end in blaming and other shitty stuff. and yeah, i know it is fierce (disproportional even) to compare tagging with the works of the nazis, but i can’t help it that this is my association. sorry for giving you a little peak inside my paranoid brain.
now tag me! (kp)
